Excitar Golf Ltd was formed in October 2006 following the appointment of Head Professional Jamie Clutterbuck as Head PGA Professional at Carswell Golf and Country Club. Excitar Golf Ltd has flourished during this time, and now includes a fully stocked Golf Shop, 12 Bay Floodlit Driving Range and Coaching Academy. Jamie Clutterbuck BSc PGA-A

Jamie is the founder and sole-director of Excitar Golf Ltd and has been working in the Golfing world for over 14 years.

 

Jamie's golfing career started at Southfield Golf Club (OxfordCity Golf Club) where he was a Junior member. Jamie represented the club at Junior level, and his name can still be seen on the winners boards around the clubhouse.

 

1994 saw the opening of Waterstock Golf Club, and Jamie gained a part-time job in the proshop from the very first day that the club opened. Under the guidance of Australian Head Professional - Andy Wyatt, Jamie went on to captain the Junior Team, represent the club in the Foursomes Scratch League and gain a handicap of 4. Following this spell, Jamie joined the Oxfordshire Golf Club as a junior member and gained a place on the inaugrial National Junior Golf Tour (now known as the Faldo Junior Series), and competed against the UK's top Junior talent.

 

Jamie then embarked upon a Sports Science Degree at The University of Southampton where he gained a 2:1 degree. Following the completion of this degree course, Jamie joined Carswell Golf and Country Club as an Assistant Professional working for then Head Professional Steve Parker, before moving on to broaden his knowledge by joining The Springs Hotel and Golf Club as an Assistant Professional.

 

Having completed his 3-year Professional Golfers Association qualifications in March 2006, Jamie was offered the opportunity to re-join Carswell Golf and Country Club as Head Professional. During this second spell at Carswell Golf Club, Jamie has developed the Driving Range and the Shop to offer golfers of all abilities the perfect place to develop there skills. Jamie believes strongly in customer service and he is committed to offering his members, and the general public, a golfing experience that is friendly, affordable and fun.

 

Jamie firmly believes that everyone can benefit from the experience that he has built up during his 14 years in the golf industry, whether it is through tuition or equipment advice. The Excitar Golf ethos is to offer Professional advice and tuition that above all else is understandable, and the Excitar Golf Team are all Professionally trained to offer this service. The use of the C-Swing Video Analysis software, coupled with the new EXPLANAR Pro teaching system ensures that everyone whom takes a lesson with Jamie leaves with not just an improved game, but a more solid understanding of the golf swing.

 

 

Jon Darby PGA-A

Jon Darby joined the Excitar Golf Team during September 2007. Jon spent his junior golf days at Waterstock Golf Club, near Thame, where he then went on to work as an Assistant Professional under Head Professional Paul Bryant.

 

During his time as an amateur golfer at Waterstock Golf Club, Jon successfully captained the Junior Golf Team, as well as representing the club in the Foursomes Scratch League. Jon turned Professional and began his PGA training in 2004 having gained a playing handicap of 4.

 

Jon completed his PGA training in August 2007, and in September of 2007 was given the chance to join the Excitar Golf Team to develop his coaching skills even further. Since this time, Jon has developed the Junior coaching at The Excitar Golf Academy, and now runs numerous Junior Golf Lessons as well as providing Golf Coaching to numerous schools in the area.

 

 

Tom Lightfoot - Assistant to the Professional

Tom has worked his way through the Amateur ranks at Carswell Golf Club, where he was first seen as a young 12 year old back in 1999.

 

Tom has represented the club at all levels, in which time he has captained the Junior Team to League victory in 2004, represented the club in the Foursomes Scratch League, and now has gained a playing handicap of 4.

 

Tom will be commencing his PGA Training in the winter of 2008, and will be working hard on both his golfing skills and golfing knowledge to become a fully Qualified PGA Professional. Tom currently combines his work at the club with organising this years Junior Team, as well as running roll-up group lessons for Juniors aged 4-8 years.
